About Us

Tucked in a pine forest behind Main Lodge, the Mammoth Mountain Chalets are charming cabins with all the comforts of home. Located at 9000 feet in the Eastern Sierra Nevada and surrounded by Inyo National Forest land, the year-round accommodations are ideally located close to amenities yet in a quiet and secluded setting.

Surrounded by pure wilderness you can experience nature from your own private cabin. You might see deer out your front door or red-tailed hawks soaring high above.

The slopeside cabins are ski-in ski-out in the winter and there are hiking and mountain biking trails out the front door in the summer.

A Family Tradition

The majority of the reservations at Mammoth Mountain Chalets are from previous guests returning to continue what has become a tradition for their family and friends, creating life long memories.

In the summer enjoy hiking to Rainbow Falls together or mountain biking the Downtown trail. Walk next door to the Adventure Center for fun on the climbing wall, bungee trampoline, or zip line.

Winter is all about snowsports in this wonderland. Ride the gondola to the top of California’s highest ski resort and snap a family photo at the summit. Ski back to your cabin for lunch and warm up the fire.

You can enjoy being in the woods with a glass of wine or hot chocolate on your private deck while the kids go sledding and play in the snow. All this is just outside your front door.

Whatever season you choose for your family vacation in Mammoth, there is something to do for everyone and a lasting memory around every bend in the trail.

Pet Friendly Lodging in Mammoth

Please don’t leave Fido at home. He heard about the dog treats at Stellar Brew on Dogbook. He loves sniffing pine trees, running free, and howling at the moon as much as you do. And Fido is, after all, part of the family.

The surrounding forest behind the cabins offer ample space for dogs to run, and in the winter groomed trails provide easy walking on the snow. Not all of the Mammoth Mountain Chalets are pet friendly cabins, but many of them are.

Your Home away from home

The Mammoth Mountain Chalets are charming and rustic cabins offering all the amenities of home.

Each chalet has a dining area and fully equipped kitchen with all the cooking utensils and dinnerware you need to prepare a great home cooked meal.

A wood-burning fireplace stocked with firewood makes the cabins feel cozy and the deck offers an outside space to relax and enjoy the views of the summit and surrounding forest.

Our onsite managers are there for you if you have any questions or need something. Join us to experience the wonders of Mammoth Lakes and have an amazing and memorable vacation.
